For the construction supervision of an hydroelectric plant project in Ethiopia,
we are urgently looking for a:
Resident Civil Works Supervisor for the construction of a tunnel by TBM
Assignment based in the Project Site in the Northern region of Ethiopia.
The duration of the contract will be 1 year, with possibility of extension
Requirements:
- A sound knowledge of English language (speaking & writing) is essential to prepare reports & letters and handling meetings
- 10 years of international experience in Supervision of the civil works and verification of their conformity to the Employer’s Requirements
- Review and comment of the TBM method of statement
- Monitoring with surveying staff of proper installation of tunnel lining, checking of the grouting operations and monitoring TBM main maintenance procedures
- Checking of the safety procedures and of their applications for underground works
- Monitoring of the daily progress data for underground works
- Assistance to the Resident Engineer for the evaluation of claims
- Monitoring of the Contractor’s quality control procedures of the civil works during construction
- Assistance to the Environmental Specialist during environmental monitoring
- Technical control over the as-built drawings relevant to the above mentioned civil works
Determination of the work progress for interim payments
