ORGANIZATION

The technical personnel is divided in four Departments, broadly mirroring the basic fields of activity:

These Departments are supported by a Computer Center and by a Quality Control Unit, which provide all the required software tools as well as the guarantee of an excellency standard.
In 2003 ELC staff amounts to of 84 people.

A technical library including more than 50,000 volumes, reports and documents
Advanced CAD releases, including 3D plants modelers and electrical layout programs
Home made software for detailed studies such as power flows, geothermal potentiality, short-circuit analysis, etc.

ACHIEVIEMENTS

At the end of 2002 ELC Electroconsult has undertaken over 1,690 assignments. Among these we would like to mention the following achievements:

	Design, Construction Management and Commissioning of the largest hydro power plant in the world: ITAIPU (12,600 MW, Brazil-Paraguay)
	Design and Construction Management of the first pumped-storage plant in the Philippines (KALAYAAN I & II)
	Design and Construction Management of the first geothermal power plants in Mexico (CERRO PRIETO), El Salvador (AHUACHAPAN) and Nicaragua (MOMOTOMBO)

Feasibility Study for the biggest hydroelectric multipurpose project in the world (34,000 MW): INGA RIVER, ex Zaire
Feasibility Study for one of the longest tunnel in the world (90 km): MAJES PROJECT, Peru
Special consultancy services for the design of the highest arch dam in the world (272 m): ENGURI, Georgia
